Day 3

3/3/2019

Today I taught the Sunday school lesson for the kids' Sunday school classes at the church in Danli. I taught on the miracle of the never ending oil pot. As I told the story and Elizabeth translated, I had the kids act it out which they seemed to enjoy. The kids are so loving; I'm always amazed at how humans can learn to transcend language barriers and connect even if they don't speak the same language. That night we had a good service as well and enjoyed some Honduran cuisine.

Day 2

Today we attended several Saturday schools and performed one of our skits, which the kids really seemed to enjoy. Next we headed to the kitchen that the Sumners hold every week. Although we can't speak Spanish, the kids were very friendly and loving. Next week, we will split up and head out on busy week to travel to different military bases.

Day 1

3/1/2019

Today we arrived in Honduras! The Sumners picked us up at the airport in Tegucigalpa and the first order of business was to pick up our luggage, then head to Coco Baleadas, which I liked. After that, we headed to Espresso Americano to get a taste of Honduran coffee. After that we headed to Danli to get settled in. There's something about being in a third world country that makes you realize just what you have as an American. Looking forward to great things in the days to come!
