Today was a day of smiles, laughter, soccer, and water balloons. It started with breakfast which was very good, and then it was off to the soup kitchen to prepare for the meal. It was a lot of fun to play with the kids that had brought a soccer ball with them. Before the crowd got too big, I got to take some picture of the kids. It was so funny and sweet to see their faces light up with a big smile after I would show them there picture that I had just taken of them. The boys and girls told me to take their friend's picture and then another friend's and then another. It was too cute.
After we had cleaned up and washed the dishes at the soup kitchen, it was off to Saturday school. Saturday school is like a Sunday school class but is not on Sunday and it is held in the homes or on the property of the women of the church here in Honduras. There were three different Saturday schools that we got to go to and each of them where unique. The first was quie but very interested in what we were doing. When we got the second place there was a little boy who opened the service with prayer that had been filled with the Holy Ghost a few years ago. It was evident even though we did not understand his language that he was really meaning what he was praying. At the third Saturday School is where the water balloons come into play. In the skits that we were doing at each of the stops, water balloons where used as an attack on the wall that we were building. At the other two stops, only the S.E.N.T. team members would throw a few of the water balloons but at this stop all of the kids got a chance to throw them at the wall that we were trying to build. To say the least there were a few of us where purity much soaked from head to toe. The good part about this was the kids had fun and it cooled us down.
