Not a too awful lot happened today. We attended Sunday service at San Nicolas Christian Center where Timothy taught Sunday school. He read from Luke 8:5-8. He compared the different seeds and where they fell to different people of the Bible. Such as the seed that feel by the wayside to the rich young ruler, the seed that fell upon a rock to Judas Iscariot, the seed that fell among thorns to people who don't act like a Christian outside of church, and the seed that fell upon good ground to Paul. He did a good job.

This morning I went with Sis. Petit to get pastries from the bakery for breakfast. It was a nice drive and we just chatted about being in the ministry here in the Philippines. After breakfast most of us went to play some volleyball with a few students before we left for the market.
Another morning cooking breakfast with Sis. Petit. I have learned so much from her and it is my hope and prayer to learn more from her. I believe that God orchestrated it for me to be here not only to minister but to be ministered to as well.
Chapel was really good this morning. Lydia talked about keeping the Word of God in your heart, not just in your head. Lorrayne spoke on defeating your giant with the Word of God as your rock and The Holy Ghost as your sling. Sis. Petit asked all the Seniors to come down and form a line and the SENT members to come behind them and pray for them to get rid of any fear they have about what God has called them to do. God's spirit was there so sweet and He moved mightily. I could see that they got the help they needed from God.
Today was a mild day. Chapel was at 7:30, which Timothy preached. Then at 9:00 Bro. Palman gave a seminar on "Grief According to God". It was very informative and the need to be there for the grieving and doing it the right way was presented strongly, which I thought was amazing.
Today I gave a devotion in Chapel. The Lord had laid something on my heart just a couple of weeks before we left for the Philippines. And when I got here I wasn't sure that what I had to say would be what was needed. Come to find out, what I had to say was exactly what they needed to hear. I talked about being a Valuable Vessels. I read from Jeremiah 18:1-6. I told them about how we sometimes start to think that we're not good enough to be in the ministry because of our pasts or upbringing. That the devil uses to those moments to really rub those things in our faces. Even though we're saved, we question God's love for us. I reminded them of what Romans 8:1-2 says. I told them that the devil tries to tell us that we've been marred on the potter’s wheel, but the devil isn't the potter, God is and He can take anything and make something of it - that they have to give their life completely to Him and quit thinking so low of themselves. That no matter your past or hurts or the wrongs done to you, or the bad circumstances, they're not your fault. But God uses them to makes us better and stronger. I told them my testimony and that they can choose to be defeated and feel sorry for themselves or they can choose to rise from that and let God use them and their testimony for His glory. Then Sis. Petit came and elaborated on what I said. The response in the altar was unbelievable. I can't even express in words the power of God that I felt. It wasn't anything that I did, but what God did. I'm just thankful and privileged that God chose me to come here and that He gave me something to say to these students.
We arrived at the school last night. We were greeted by the Bible school guys and they helped us by carrying our luggage to the girls’ dorm. We then met most of the girl students. They were all very nice, polite, well-mannered and helpful when we asked questions. They showed us where all the necessities were.
The flight over to the Philippines wasn't really that bad, considering the flight from Chicago to Tokyo was thirteen hours. Landing in Japan was pretty exciting even though we were only there for about an hour or so. It was still interesting to see quite a few Americans there. After the our flight from Tokyo to Manila landed, we hurried to get through customs and then get our luggage.
