Today was a very full day. We went to Port-au-Prince to shop and sight see and had a blast. It was also a very sobering experience.
We wrapped up the teen and youth services today with a bang. Joe (teen captain) and Jacob's (youth captain) teams beat Bethany and Kayln's teams and the losers got water ballooned, which the kids loved. The kids here are so competitive that they make all the games fun with their inventive ways to win. They also are full of questions about what different things are called in English and what Bible School is like which I attempted to answer today. After I was done answering them, I looked down to realize that Shadrach, an adorable little boy I was holding, had decided to use my hair, clothes, and arms as a canvas for his markers. Thank goodness for Tide pens and soap! Bro. Pahlman preached tonight and ended his sermon with an illustration of how God sees everything and we can't hide our sins from Him. I pray people received help in the altars. We only have a couple more days here and I want to leave a Haiti that is closer to the Lord. I want the youth to get such a hunger for the Holy Ghost and the things of God that it spreads through the entire congregation. Now that there are faces of new friends to go along with my burden, Haiti holds an even more special place in my heart and I know I'll never forget this trip.
