Today was a work day for us. The Sumners wanted to put color into their soup kitchen. So we sanded and painted the tables and the table legs. We painted the legs black and the tables were painted red, green, yellow, blue and orange. Children that walked by stopped and watched us. When we were almost finished we started to play some games with the kids. It was fun learning their games and teaching them games. Every day that we’ve been here I’ve seen how dedicated the Sumners are to God’s ministry. They give their everything everyday to these people. After a long day of work we came home and played some volley ball. We laughed so much. I’ve been so blessed to be here with the Sumner family. They have taught me so much about what serving God means. It’s not a sacrifice or a chore, but its something that’s enjoyable, not always easy, but right.
