It's sad that today is our last day of military services! It's always so exciting to see the freedom Honduras' armed forces have given to the preaching of the Gospel.
Our first service was with the Air Force. Even though there wasn't very many of them, they all seemed to respond well. After the service they took us on a little tour. They showed us their propeller machinery shop and then took us into the hangar where the presidential airplanes were. It was a neat experience.
Our second service was a lot different from all the other ones we've had. It was at the Army Technical School. Our service was completely in English. It was really hard for me to switch gears and start speaking to them in English. Everyone on the SENT team loved being able to converse with them after the service. I got a chance to talk to two women sub-inspectors and one woman army lieutenant. They said they were enjoying getting to practice their English. They said they learned" chapter" and "oldest" while we were there. After we talked for a long time, the lieutenant asked for prayer for her because she is expecting a baby. I thought she probably wanted us to keep her in our prayers but then she said she wanted prayer right now. So Mom and I prayed with her and she thanked us. I think we were all a little sad to leave that place.
Our last service (we didn't get to go to the Military Academy) was at ANAPO, the police academy. Thank the Lord for a great service! The cadets were really tired and some struggled to keep awake but they still paid a lot of attention to the preaching. A lot of them raised their hands to pray for salvation. It was an awesome end to the services on this SENT trip!
After the service, we got back in Tegucigalpa and got a meat plate for the last time. :( *sniff*
I am so thankful for ALL that the Lord has done!! He has answered our prayers and gone beyond what we asked! We serve a God Who truly does hear and answer prayers!
