Saturday morning, we went to the Kids Kitchen at 8 a.m. and began to prepare the food. We prepared Yucca, which is a root, (it is very similar to a potato...just stringy), cabbage salad to go on top, sauce, cheese, and pork rinds. This is one of the Honduran's favorite dishes. We had 149 kids at the soup kitchen this time. At 11 a.m., we started the service there at the kids soup kitchen. The group of students put on our skit about King Ahasuerus and Queen Esther. The kids seemed to love the story. After the skit, we served the food to the kids, cleaned up and then packed up to go to the Saturday schools. We had two other Saturday schools to go to and put on our skits. We had good responses from both places.
We started our journey very early in the morning when my alarm clock went off at 3 a.m. We left the school at 4 am to head to the airport. We are finally on our way to Honduras! We are so excited and looking forward to what God will do in my birth country. We have lots of things that we have felt burdened on our hearts and are relying on God to see these things come to pass for God's glory.
