The day started off with homemade French toast and fresh mangos from the market. If you’ve never had fresh mangos you do not know what you’re missing; the Philippines has the best mangos I have ever had!
Breakfast was then followed by chapel; Bro. Ben Perez spoke to the students along the same lines that Joseph had spoken the previous day. The importance of knowing God for yourself, and being able to stand alone in Him.
Today was the Home Evangelism Conference; Bro. Pahlman and Bro. Simeon preached the sessions. There were many local Pastors and Pastoras who attended along with various Church members. The first session, Bro. Pahlman preached on “Gods Missionary Heart”, this message basically spoke of how missions was ordained by God. He challenged the congregation to have the Missionary heart that God has. The following session was preached by Bro. Simeon; this is probably one of the best messages I have heard him deliver (and I have heard quite a few of Simeon’s messages). Simeon was very burdened for the congregation, you could tell by his delivery that it was something God has dealt with him personally about. His message was entitled “Forsaking All for the Call”, if this message wasn’t for anyone else, I can honestly say that it was for me! I had been doing a personal study on surrender, I started praying about certain areas in my life that I might would need to surrender to God. During this message, God brought back to my mind certain things I had prayed about; during the altar God laid His finger on those things in my life.
