Today we had another work day. Us girls painted the tables and benches that the guys made. Then we had lunch and got ready for the last night of youth revival. The last night of youth revival went great! All the preaching and testimonies were awesome. God really moved in the altars as well. After service they gave some of the people in the church the chance to testify. Many of the people stood and testified and it was so amazing to hear each one. Many of them just began to tell what The Lord had done for them and would begin weeping and praising The Lord for what He did. It was so touching and I took every one of those testimonies to heart. I'm so thankful for how God has moved the past week at the Sumner's church. So many were touched and blessed and it's not because of anything we can do on our own but it's only what god did through us. I feel so unworthy to be here getting to be used by God but I'm so thankful that He's given me this opportunity and all the glory goes to Him for all that was done. God is so good and I'm so thankful to have been a part of this SENT Team.
Today was a work day for us. Some of the guys built tables and the rest of us went to the soup kitchen and cleaned tables and re-painted them. We had a lot of fun. After this we came back to the house and got ready for the second night of youth revival. We had another great service. Brother Jacob Vaughn and brother James Hardy both preached and did so good. The Lord came by and moved in such a great way in the altar call. Many of the young people were touched. Tonight it seemed like a lot of things that were said were about doing something for God and stepping out in faith. I think it was the message The Lord wanted to get across to these young people and I believe He did. I'm believing Gods going to do great things through the young people here in Honduras and I'm excited to hear all about it.
Today was our last day of kid’s crusades and our first night of youth revival. It went awesome!! So many people came up and prayed and The Lord began to move. A lot were standing with their arms raised, crying and praising God. One of the little boys in the church received the baptism of the Holy Ghost! We're all just so thankful for what God has done and for how He is moving. At the youth revival, we had another amazing service. Brother Daniel and Brother Hough were to preach. After Brother Daniel preached, Katherine and Elizabeth testified and then Elizabeth and Rachel sang the song "You deserve the glory" and The Lord began to move. People were just worshiping The Lord and they all started coming to the altars. God did such a great work in the altars. I'm so thankful for how He's been moving and for the lives that are being touched. God is doing great things and I'm so thankful for it!
Today was a lot of fun! We started out the day helping in the soup kitchen. There were so many people who came. At the kitchen some of the girls did some kids songs and then we put on our Nehemiah skit. The skit turned out great! The kids loved it. After this we served all the food and then cleaned up and went on to do Saturday school at three different places. Every place we went to, they loved the skit! The kids were so cute! I loved getting to see all of them and spend a little time with them. After this we headed to the church to prepare for our second night of kids crusade. Kid’s crusade went so good! The kids enjoyed it and at the end we had some come up to pray. We also had some of the people in the church that needed healing come forward and pray. There were quite a bit of ladies who came forward and I believe God really touched and ministered to them in the altars. They were up there weeping and crying out to the Lord, just praising God. I know God helped them and I believe He wants to help even more in the next few days to come.
Today we got to go to speak to the police all together. Brother Jacob Vaughn preached a great message. I believe many of them were touched by it and Lord willing, they'll take it to heart and let The Lord change them through it. After this we went to eat in town and then we went to the church. At the church we set up an got ready for the first night of kids crusade. Then we went back to the Sumners and ate and got ready for kids crusade. Emily, Lisa, Bethany, Daniel, James, brother Hough and I all got to ride the bus to go and pick up the kids. I absolutely loved this! The kids were so polite and adorable! Every time a kid would get on the bus, the girls would come up to each of us and give us a hug and a kiss on the cheek and the boys would each shake our hands. They were the sweetest little kids! Even though we couldn't really communicate well with them, we tried the best we could. We tried to teach them little games like rock, paper, scissors and thumb wars and also little hand games with the girls. They caught on quickly and loved it! The kids crusade went great as well. I think the kids really enjoyed it. After all the games and skits, brother Allan had the kids come pray and quite a few came. It was so precious to see them kneeling at the altars and bowing their heads in prayer. The Sumners have an awesome church and wonderful group of kids that they're reaching. We're just believing God for even greater things to come in the lives of these children that are being reached in the next few days to come.
Day three was a little different. Today we only had one service at about 7:30. The service went really well! Many of the soldiers lifted tier hands in praise to The Lord. It was so good to see soldiers who were not afraid to lift their hands and praise The Lord. After the service the corneal wanted to speak to us. He got us together and told us how much it meant to him that we came and spoke Gods word. He expressed how not only is he serving in the military, but that he is also a soldier in the Lords army and to him that is the most important and will always come first. It's so awesome to know that the group of military men there have a Christian coneral over them who can lead them in the ways of The Lord. The corneal was so kind to us and what he had to say to us was so special. I'll not forget him. After this we went to the fish place where some of the group got fried fish. The place was right next to the lake and the view was so beautiful! After that we headed back home to the Sumners and joined again with the rest of the team and shared stories of our experiences we had the past few days. It was a great way to end the day. Once again I'm so thankful to be a part of this team and the work that God is doing here in Honduras!
Today was another great day here in Honduras! We went to 4 bases today. We got to watch a ceremony for the military police today which was really cool to see! Then we went to another base where brother Hough preached. After he preached, we seen 12 men come forward and give their hearts to The Lord! It was so amazing. To see them take that step of faith and just come to The Lord crying and raising their hands was such a beautiful sight to see. It still amazes me how many people the Sumners are able to reach through the military bases. God is doing a great work here in Honduras! I know He still has even greater things in store for the remainder of our time here and I can't wait to see it!
Today was our first day at the military bases. The day started out very early. We left the Sumner's house at about 4 am and had our first service around 7 this morning. There were probably about 200 to 300 soldiers there. It was amazing to see all them soldiers out there singing about The Lord and getting to hear the Gospel. All together we had 5 services today. Each one so different from the other yet the same in that they each got to hear the Gospel! I'm amazed already by the work the Sumner's are doing here in Honduras and by all the people that are being reached! I'm so thankful to have this opportunity to be a part of it.
