I was so thankful for the opportunity to go out into Haiti today. Bro. Lloyd took us to the Iron Market where we could buy some souvenirs. Some of us rode in the back of the truck and as we rode through the slums of Haiti, we experienced their lifestyle first hand. It was interesting bartering with the vendors and trying to get the best deal. Then we went to a super market and was able to get some good ol’ Haitian coffee and also some Hot Sauce. Bro. Lloyd was kind and got us some lunch and pastries that he said they were more of a French cuisine, but they were delicious! Along the way we picked up some Creole Bibles and then our last stop was the look out. To get there we drove through the more wealthy part of Haiti and tourist attractions. The lookout overlooked a large portion of Haiti and the Ocean--it was breathtaking! We were still in the back of the truck and by the time we got back to the house we looked like roasted tomatoes! But it was well worth it! In the evening, Bro. Jacob brought the message “Be Ye Holy” to the congregation where we saw hungry hearts flock the altars to get more of God and His holiness. It was a full day in the presence of God!Today was the last day for the crusades and we ended up having the biggest numbers with over 200 at the teen crusade! I believe God had His way and pray that what was portrayed to them will have a lasting effect.
I am so thankful for how God moved today. There was another great response at the kids crusades then after a great Haitian lunch we were able to go to the market with Bro. Lloyd. This was an unforgettable experience in and of itself.
Today was a very successful first day of the Kids Crusades and continuation of revival. There were approximately 200 young people at the crusade for the teenagers and around 50 kids at the crusade for the younger age group. All of the young people gave a great response to the skits and games. Sis Amanda preached a great message asking the congregation if they believed God. There was such a great move of God in the altars as people came for healing and deliverance. We are still seeking God for greater things, but I am so thankful for what He has already done!
I was so thankful to be able to worship and minister in Haiti on the Lord’s day! There was a great presence of the Lord in the services as people worshiped Him and three people were saved! The spirit of worship was phenomenal in the services and I loved seeing the congregation worship God with a Haitian flair! I believe God is starting a great work. After tonight’s service we were able to fellowship with Bro. and Sis. Lloyd and even hear some of their “Bible School Days” stories. It's amazing to think that they were once in my position. It just made me think of what all God has in store and what He can do with a willing vessel completely surrendered to Him. |
