Today was a rewarding day. We woke up and ate breakfast and afterwards started preparing for another crusade. We left to eat lunch at approximately 10:30 AM and after returning to pick up our props, we were off to the mountains. The ride there was absolutely beautiful! When we arrive at the school, the young people were a bit standoffish at first but they eventually warmed up to us. We did songs and skits and then Sir Petit preached. When he gave the altar call, dozens of young people came up to the front to pray. I don’t have an exact estimate on how many receive the gift of salvation but there was a lot of people weeping around the front. Back home in America we aren't allowed to hold public school crusades to spread the gospel so this is an experience I know I may never get to have again. It is a blessing to see many hungry souls getting fed with the Gospel.
Today we held a crusade for a school in the mountains here on island. There was about 250 kids there and we had a blast working with them! They took lots of pictures with us when it was over. After the crusade, we went back to the grounds where we had church with FBI. The young people really put a lot into the services here. It is challenging to see students who have so little put everything they have into worshiping God.
Today was a slower day for the Sent team. The students here at FBI had a halfway normal day and the sent team taught some of their classes. This evening we went to Pastor Alan’s house for a Filipino dinner. The food was really good!Today the Sent team split up into two groups and we went to different churches. One group went with Bro. Pahlman and the other group went with Sis Lisa. I went with Sis Lisa’s group. Brother Simeon preached the morning service and he did excellent! This evening the group merged into one big group and we had church here at Faith Bible Institute.
We started our journey to the Philippine islands this morning. We arrived at the airport in Pittsburgh early this morning and boarded our plane to head to Chicago. This was my first time flying and I love it! While we were in Chicago we had a really long layover but we eventually boarded our plane to Hong Kong China. This was the longest flight ever. It took a little over 15 hours to get there. Once we arrive there, we flew to Manila. From Manila we took a taxi to the motel and crash there for the night. The next morning after eating breakfast, we took another taxi to go back to the airport and from there we flew to Laoag.
