Today we went to the Mall of Asia in Manila where we ate at a TGIFriday's. Beyond that, I recall going up and down escalators and going out in a deck overlooking a bay. I don't know the name of the bay, but it was full of ships, a sight I haven't really ever seen. After leaving the Mall, we went back to the Hotel and got our bags and took a taxi to the airport to catch a flight to Laoag. While at the airport, I saw Kendra witness to a Philippino that was singing to her. In the end he told her to eat her popsicle that she had just purchased. Hopefully one day he will see the truth of her words before it is too late.

This is my first full day in the Philippines. After arriving late at the Kabayan Hotel in Manila, we went to McDonald's. It was quite a different experience than a McDonald's in the States, as our food was brought to us. I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night even though I only slept about three hours total while flying.
Today I flew in a plane for the first time. It was an exciting experience, and the thrill was beyond any expectation that I could have imagined. We took off from the airport in Pittsburgh, PA at 5:50 AM ET on 1/19/17, and two planes later we landed in Manila at 8:54 PM on 1/20/17. We were in transit for 27 hours including about 6 hours of layover. We met Bro. Petit and Bro. Cody at the Manila International Airport. This was the start of our experience in the Philippines and my first real adventure in a foreign country, for, as you see, we never left the airport in Japan.
