Last day of our "Busy Week" trip!
We began the day with a quick stop for breakfast at Circle K for a bean sandwich and then we hit the road to head for our first service. Our first service was at the First Communications Battalion. The Lord helped us and we had a good service there. There are several Christians that are stationed at this base and they encourage one another in the faith. There is always an expectancy about the soldiers stationed there. They love the services!
Our second service was at the 6th Infantry Battalion. This is where Christ Cares’ military outreach all got started 24 years ago! Thank the Lord for the doors He opened! It is amazing to me to see how far the Lord has brought this ministry! We had a great service and during the altar call I was able to pray with a lady sergeant. She was weeping and the Lord was touching her, I pray that she continues to let the Lord move in her life. After the service the commanding officer, Colonel Alas, asked us to please come to their headquarters and meet him. He had us all sit down and drink some lemonade with him. He told us of how important it is to him that the Gospel be spread among his soldiers. Every morning, during their early formation, a soldier will read the Bible and pray over their day and its activities. It’s so exciting to see how the Lord is given liberty here!
After that service, we all headed to Danli. Here we split up and some of us came home to the property to help prepare the meal for everyone who would be getting home from the busy week. It was kind of odd for us all, after being apart for those few days, being back together but it was awesome hearing all that the Lord had done for both the North and South teams!
Thank you to everyone who has been in prayer for our trip! Your prayers are making a difference!
